Lúcuma is native to South America and loved throughout Peru.
It was hailed by the Incas as the tree of life and they even held festivals in the fruit's honour!

The first day of August is considered the beginning of the new Andean year with Pachamama Raymi / Festival of Mother Earth. 

On this day, the Incas worshipped the earth as a mother (generator of life) as Pachamama gave us fruit, vegetables, and her home. And, at the end of life, we return to her. 

Celebrate La Pachamama at Lima Cantina with a shared set menu for two.

Every year on July 28th, Peruvians come together to celebrate their most significant national holiday, Independence Day!
This joyous occasion commemorates the day when Peru’s founding father, Jose de San Martin, proclaimed the country’s independence from Spanish colonial rule in 1821. 

This year, there’s double the reason to celebrate with International Pisco Day / Día del Pisco falling on the same day as Peruvian Independence Day!
